Heroes: Redemption: Ink

Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is in her room, listening to her roommate bang on the door, requesting entry. Samuel feels like hs is missing something since Joseph died; he misses/needs the compass. He is confessing this to Lydia. Peter ( Milo Ventimiglia) receives something via messenger and does not look pleased. Lady with cat wakes, cuddles cat. Cut to cat feeding. Lady enters and approaches mirror. Dripping water from faucet catchers her attention and amusement, though on second thought... Parkman (Greg Grunberg) surveilling, gives up thirty day chip. Partner leaves vehicle and Sylar appears in review mirror. Parkman and his partner force entry into what appears to be an empty residence. Partner separates. Sylar ( Zachary Quinto) appears and actually assists Parkman in taking down the perpetrator with the final statement: "Your welcome." I love it!

I am so glad I checked NBC at 20:00, otherwise I would have missed Heroes.

Claire opens door to "Gretchen?" No, it's Noah inquiring into Claire's well being. She's adjusting. They'll lunch together. I like Claire's taste in guys as she studies the reflection in the mirror as she brushes her teeth. Gretchen catches up to her and persists about Claire, skulking her way into Claire and Noah's (Jack Coleman) lunch date. Parkman, his partner and Sylar are interrogating the perpetrator. Sylar interrupts and tells Parkman to use his powers. Parkman excuses himself to go check the bathroom, where he encounters Sylar, who once again assists leads him to a stuffed bunny and intimates, on very knowing authority, that the place they have entered is used for a lot worse then drugs. Peter is requesting something from an office worker. She points to a sign that request must be in writing. He notices that she has earplugs in, and also notices that she is not plugged into anything, chiding her for her inappropriate behavior. Embarrassed she knocks over a cup from the desk to the floor - I swear I saw red emanations of energy - she did too and was kind of surprised. She gives Peter his papers and he leaves.

Peter encounters Samuel, claiming to be a victim from the bus accident that Peter injured. Peter denies he was on the bus. Aha! The girl is deaf and she is seeking consult with a physician, who suggests synesthesia. Emma is her name and she can talk clearly. Gretchen is not giving up, though tactfully, and manages to get in a dig at Claire in the process. Noah is interested enough in what he hears from Gretchen to declare that he just might go back to work. Sylar has very cleverly got Parkman to realize that wanting something someone else has and won't release is a bad place to be. Parkman figures out the crime himself and Sylar puts the challenge to him to be strong/man enough to do what he has to do to save the hostage - use his power.

Noah threatens to call The Jamaican; Claire says it's her problem and she'll solve it, namely Gretchen. Sylar has used Parkman's power against him. There was no girl. Not good considering upon reentry into the residence, Parkman's partner encounters Parkman beating up the perpetrator. Peter's partner admits to confessing suspicious from Peter, confirming suspicious of glory-hounding, as he is always first on the scene. The final twist: "I'm your chauffeur, not your partner." Just before Peter enters his premises we see that Samuel is inking the news photo to include himself. Lydia furtively secures a cellphone, confessing to her supplier that she has a daughter and she thinks she is in danger.

Claire agrees to be rigorously honest, taking a chance again. Peter finds Samuel in the park and apologizes for his incorrect memory. Samuel is manipulating him by telling him the story about his brother and gaining Peter's commiseration. They shake hands before parting and Samuel assures Peter that he is dropping the charges. Peter suggests Samuel visit home. Emma is in the park and sees a cellist. She sees the auras around his music. He takes a break, she steps over and plays so beautifully that she attracts people in the park, including Peter, whom upon seeing in the crowd, she departs.

Samuel is at a house where a party is going on. He explains that he grew up there and wants to take a look around. The lady of the house says this not a good time and closes the door. Samuel walks away. Claire shows Gretchen the healing power. Noah calls Claire and seems to take Claire's handling of the problem okay. Claire has a new roommate. Parkman did a number on the perp. The partner is freaking out. Parkman ends up using his power to save his job. Sylar appears and congratulations to the dark side, promising more days like this if Parkman does not go with him to find his body. Peter is back on the job and walking to the scene, a sink hole. Samuel is on the scene also. Could this be the house site? The whole is big enough. While observing the scene, Peter notices a pain in his forearm, followed by animated tattooed compass move.
